An independent software architecture studio. We work at the structural level: how a system is shaped, where its boundaries are, and how it holds up as it grows.
That might mean advising your team, building from scratch, or shipping something under our own name. We stay close to the work and take on projects selectively.

Values
Structural integrity over speed.
We don't cut corners on foundations. If something is structurally wrong, we'd rather walk away than build on top of it.
Clarity over complexity.
Someone on your side needs to be able to say yes or no. Committees don't build good systems.
Independence.
No investors, no outside pressure. We pick our work. This is non-negotiable.
Craft.
Our internal tools get the same care as client work, including the ones no one else will ever see.
Honesty.
If your idea needs rethinking, we'll say so. If we're not the right fit, we'll say that too.

A borb is a fat, round, fluffy bird. We named our studio after one. (Yes, really.)
We also build serious software. Both things are true.
